Gaviotas is the name of a distant village in the middle of the Colombian eastern savannah. In her research, Dr. Freeman investigates sustainability challenges and their related social controversies. Most recently, she has explored the governance of emergent agricultural biotechnologies in the Global South. It was great to meet people from all over campus who were interested in sustainability.
