Workshop: Exploratory Data Analysis in R
Workshop Overview:ÌýExploratory Data Analysis (EDA) is used to perform initial analysis of your data in order to 'get a feel' for the variables involved and whether your data entails certain patterns.
At the end of this workshop, you will be able to
ÌýÌýÌýÌý > use different visualization tools to analyze distributions and correlations
ÌýÌýÌýÌý > know and apply different ways to treat missing data
ÌýÌýÌýÌý > apply classification and standardization methods
Prerequisites:
ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý · Introductory knowledge of R, e.g. from ¿´Æ¬ÊÓƵ'sÌýR summer camp,Ìýor from ourÌýIntroduction to programming with RÌýworkshop.
ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý · You need to bring your own laptop for this workshop. Install R and RStudio on your computer. You can find installation instructionsÌýhere. Please contact us (cdsi.science at mcgill.ca) if you are having trouble with installation.
