POSTPONED: Special Lecture: Explaining the “X” in Stanford’s Bio-X
The Bio-X talk will be delivered by Dr. Carla Shatz, Sapp Family Provostial Professor of Biology and Neurobiology and Director of Bio-X, Stanford's pioneering biosciences program. Her lecture, "Explaining the “X” in Stanford’s Bio-X” will take place on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 12:00 pm at the McIntyre Medical Building (room 522). Refreshments will follow.
Bio-X is a remarkably successful university-wide program at Stanford that could function as a model for interdisciplinary research at ƬƵ. Bio-X’s mission is to catalyze discovery by crossing boundaries between disciplines, to bring interdisciplinary solutions and to create new knowledge of biological systems in benefit of human health. The program involves 550 faculty members from more than 60 Stanford departments.
