Published: 14 March 2006

It's not just business as usual for these future MBAs. Students from the Desautels Faculty of Management, John Molson School of Business and HEC Montr茅al MBA programs arranged and participated in a career fair on February 2, to discover how they can capitalize on their new management training to serve their communities.

Speakers from a wide range of industries, and from as far away as Toronto, were in attendance to share with the students their insights and advice on how best these future leaders could get their careers off and running in the direction of social change. Six sessions were offered throughout the course of the morning: two in the area of social entrepreneurship and one each in the areas of international development, socially responsible investing, managing non-profits and mainstream CSR.

Following the information session a networking lunch was launched by an address from Dean Peter Todd. Marcel Desautels, as well as a majority of the speakers and representatives from additional companies, kindly attended the lunch to speak with students in an informal manner. During the breakfast, breaks and lunch, students and presenters mingled over socially responsible and organic food provided by Moozoo Juice, Skinny Edibles and Santropol Roulant.
