Allison Gonsalves and Dawn Wiseman, of our Department of Integrated Studies in Education, presented theirTeaching Science in Homework Zone pilot project at two Montreal-area schools this year. These workshops, presented to elementary school students in an after-school setting, have the goal of showingscience-based materials in an engaging and accessible fashion. The project recruited 14 volunteer students from Science Education with DISEand from the Faculty of Scienceto work together anddesign three workshops, each about 45 minutes in length.

Dr. Ratna Ghosh, of our Department of Integrated Studies in Education, will be named an Honorary Fellow of The Comparative and International Education Society (CIES). The decision was announced at the 2018 Annual Meeting of CIES, held this week in Mexico City.The award will be conferred at next year’s conference.
