Scientists have long been captivated by the possibility of discovering evidence for extraterrestrial life in the universe. While many of the world鈥檚 largest telescopes are pointed toward distant galaxies and star systems, some think there鈥檚 a strong possibility that life could be detected much closer to home.
May 15th and 16th, Falling Walls Engage Hub Canada hosted 30 science outreach practitioners, from across the country, for a bilingual event titled 鈥淭he Power of the Pitch: A Funding and Skills-building Workshop for Canadian Science Engagers鈥.
In a series of workshops, participants learned first-hand from funders what they are looking for in successful proposals and created quick pitches for new science engagement projects.
