UNDERSTANDING AND NAVIGATING DEMENTIA
Free online lecture for healthcare professionals
This lecture, offered by the ¿´Æ¬ÊÓƵ University Dementia Education Program in collaboration with Altfest Personal Wealth Management, is aimed at family physicians, geriatricians, neurologists, psychiatrists, nurses, social workers and occupational therapists who would like to gain a deeper understanding of neurocognitive disorders.
Dr. José Morais and Mrs. Claire Webster are two of the senior authors of the World Alzheimer Reports for 2021, Journey through the diagnosis of dementia, and 2022, Life after diagnosis: Navigating treatment, care and support. They will share highlights from the reports, including research and best practices on post-diagnostic management and support following a diagnosis of a neurogenerative disorder.

This program meets the accreditation criteria as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians andÌýSurgeons of Canada and has been accredited by the Office of Continuing Professional Development, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences,Ìý¿´Æ¬ÊÓƵ University for up to 1 (one) Section 1 credits/hours. Through an agreement between the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons ofÌýCanada and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert Royal College MOC credits to AMA PRA Category 1 Creditsâ„¢.
Information on the process to convert Royal College MOC credit to AMA credit can be found at .ÌýThis one-credit-per-hour Group Learning program meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has beenÌýcertified by the Office of Continuing Professional Development, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences for up to 1 (one) Mainpro+ credits.ÌýMembers of the American Academy of Family Physicians are eligible to receive up to 1 (one) Prescribed credit hours for attendance at thisÌýmeeting/event due to a reciprocal agreement with the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
