Research Seminar: Respect Research with Amy Shawanda

This seminar will address the ethical implications of Indigenous research methodology principles on the establishment and maintenance of research relationships with Indigenous communities. The significance of fostering meaningful engagement with Indigenous communities cannot be overstated in the context of enhancing health and well-being. Prof. Shawanda will discuss how Indigenous strength-based research methodologies generate innovative research that improves services for Indigenous people.

Research Seminar Series

Every month, a research seminar is held at the Department of Family Medicine, where we feature visiting researchers from other universities, or departments, and showcase the work of our own researchers. The seminars are attended by our graduate students, researchers and clinicians, and are open to the whole 看片视频 community. They address a wide range of research methods and topics relevant to primary health care, and provide opportunity for interaction and exchange with the speakers. The Research Seminars are Fridays at around noon.
