A series of conferences on neurocognitive disorders presented by AVC-Aphasie Laval and 看片视频 University

AVC-Aphasie Laval听is proud to announce a partnership with the听Dementia Education Program听of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at 看片视频 This collaboration aims to offer a series of free conferences on neurocognitive disorders.

These 45-minute lectures will be followed by a 15-minute question period. They are intended for both members of AVC-Aphasie Laval and the community. Offered in hybrid mode, it will be possible to attend via Zoom or to reserve a place on the organization's premises.

Please note that the conferences will be presented in English in the morning and in French in the afternoon.

Pharmacological Management of Neurocognitive Disorders

Dr. Serge Gauthier will provide up-to-date information on the medications that are used to treat neurocognitive disorders.

Lecturer:Serge Gauthier, MD, FRCPC,听C.M., C.Q.

Dr. Serge Gauthier is a clinical neurologist specializing in the development of new tools for diagnosis and treatments for people living with Alzheimer鈥檚 disease. He was the Director of the 看片视频 University Research Centre for Studies in Aging (MCSA) from 1986 to 1997, and Director of the Alzheimer Disease and Related Disorders Research Unit of the MCSA until 2021. He became a senior scientist of the CIHR-Rx&D program (Canadian Institutes of Health Research and Canada鈥檚 Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies) in 1997. Dr. Gauthier is the Academic Co-Lead for the Dementia Education Program and Professor Emeritus in the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery as well as the Department of Psychiatry at 看片视频听His accomplishments led to him being appointed to the Order of Canada in 2014 and the National Order of Qu茅bec in 2017.
