Learn more about nursing research, hone your critical appraisal skills and earn accredited hours* with presenter Christina Clausen, RN, PhD, ¿´Æ¬ÊÓƵ Nursing Collaborative Site Lead. 

Christina Clausen received her PhD in Nursing Administration in 2016 from the Ingram School of Nursing (ISoN). Her PhD dissertation addressed the process for developing effective collaborative partnerships among nurse and physician managers in a hospital setting.

During her career in nursing over the last 15 years, she has worked as a nurse clinician, bedside nurse and clinical nurse specialist in maternal child health. Her areas of interests have included global health initiatives within the graduate nursing program at ¿´Æ¬ÊÓƵ and the Faculty of Medicine as well as a developing and implementing educational initiatives on interprofessional collaboration for both faculty and students.

She continues to be involved in teaching at the ISoN as a faculty lecturer. One of her projects in her current role as the ¿´Æ¬ÊÓƵ Nursing Collaborative Site Lead at the Jewish General Hospital has been to develop and implement a Nursing leadership program for nurse managers within a regional health network in Montreal. As part of her vision, she is dedicated to enhancing a strong and thriving community of nursing scholarship in Montreal that promotes a strength-based approach as well as continue to focus on interprofessional, collaborative management opportunities for professional development and continuing education initiatives.

At this Journal Club Meeting, Christina will present her paper Intentional partnering: a grounded theory study on developing effective partnerships among nurse and physician managers as they co-lead in an evolving healthcare system.  J Adv Nurs 2017;73:2156–66
