OSR Outreach Session - Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ) – Société et culture Research Support for New Academics Program
The purpose of the FRQSC Research Support for New Academics program is to enable new research academics who are beginning their careers to complete an individual research project and develop original research avenues; to establish themselves as independent researchers, become competitive nationally and internationally, and train the next generation of students; and to consolidate the research system by supporting up-and-coming research academics in social sciences and humanities, arts and literature fields.
Emerging researchers in social sciences and humanities, arts and literature, who are planning to apply to the Fall 2024 FRQSC Research Support for New Academics competition are encouraged to attend this information session, which will include:
- An introductory presentation about the program objectives and application requirements by Lauren Clark, Senior Advisor, Office of Sponsored Research;
- A presentation on tips and best practices for preparing a successful application by Professor Amir Kalan, Department of Integrated Studies in Education;
- A question and answer period where participants will be encouraged to raise any questions they may have about the program and the application process.
Those who are unable to attend or who wish to provide their questions in advance are invited to send their inquiries to lauren.clark [at] mcgill.ca (Lauren Clark) (514-398-4880) so that they may be covered during the session.
You are invited to register here by Monday, August 19, 2024
