Overview

General Music Techniques : Contemporary musical, social, educational, and psychological foundations of music education as a means of articulating the why, what and how of music education. Descriptive, historical, philosophical and experimental research methodologies will be examined as they relate to music learning and teaching. Participation in field rehearsal lab.

Terms: This course is not scheduled for the 2010-2011 academic year.

Instructors: There are no professors associated with this course for the 2010-2011 academic year.

  • 3 hours and Teaching Lab
  • Prerequisites or corequisites: one of MUCT 315, MUGT 356, MUIT 315
  • Students must register for both MUGT 402D1 and MUGT 402D2.
  • No credit will be given for this course unless both MUGT 402D1 and MUGT 402D2 are successfully completed in consecutive terms
