Overview

History : Survey of French society from the fall of the Roman Empire to the outbreak of the French Revolution. Emphasis on the construction of the French state in the medieval period, religious conflicts of the 16th century, social and economic structures under absolutism, intellectual and economic changes in the 18th century.

Terms: This course is not scheduled for the 2011-2012 academic year.
