Anthropologie : Immigration is transforming Europe and North America, and is a major demographic and cultural process in Canada. It is also the subject of government policies in Canada and elsewhere, including the increasingly controversial "multiculturalism." The study of immigration and its cultural dimensions should be covered in our anthropology curriculum, if we are to be up-to-date in our understanding and teaching about globalization and about Canada today.
