Program Requirements

Le certificat de perfectionnement professionnel en gestion de projets vise principalement à fournir aux professionnels le savoir et les habiletés requises pour gérer avec succès des projets de différentes natures et de différentes envergures. Une importance particulière est accordée à l'emploi des principes, des méthodes et des outils de gestion de projets préconisés dans le Guide du Corpus des connaissances en management de projet (Guide PMBOK®) du Project Management Institute (PMI). D'autres sujets sont aussi abordés, tels que les techniques de mise en place, de direction et de motivation d'équipes de projet performantes, les moyens de développer des aptitudes interpersonnelles essentielles, y compris la communication, la résolution de conflits, la rédaction et l'animation, et les approches stratégiques et adaptatives en gestion de projets pour atteindre les objectifs escomptés. Ce programme, offert en anglais, doit être terminé en deux ans.

    Affaires : The objective is to help learners develop effective interpersonal skills. Emphasis is placed on the following areas: communication styles, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, working with teams and influencing others, workplace diversity and intercultural communication, presentation skills, and facilitation skills. As a result of acquiring and developing these interpersonal skills, learners can increase their overall professional effectiveness.

    Génie (CCE) : This course addresses the fundamental principles of project management, and the tools and techniques at our disposal to help achieve our goals. These principles, largely developed and tested on engineering projects, are being successfully applied to projects of all sizes and types within the business world. Topics covered include: project definition and start up; planning, scheduling and estimating; approval process, including testing for alternatives; project information and control systems; resource selection and allocation, implementation; post-project evaluation; project management as a career; skills and knowledge required by professionals, including decision-making and resource allocation appropriate to project phases; integration with other disciplines, including accounting and finance. Students will have the opportunity to apply the principles they learn through lab sessions using the latest computerized project management tools.
