Event: Chemistry Teaching Assistant Program (Chem TAP) January training meeting 

Date: Thursday, January 9, 2025, 4:30 – 6:30 PM 

An opportunity for chemistry graduate students to hear from instructors and former TAs about teaching in chemistry, and to participate in the following: 

  • For new TAs: Strategies for grading and tips from experienced TAs on how to survive your first term TAing.  
  • For returning TAs: Communication strategies for pitching your research to different audiences, whether that’s to undergrads you TA, colleagues at conferences, or to interviewers for prospective jobs. 

Pizza will be served! Please bring your own water bottle. 

Additional Event Information: 

  • This event will be held in Otto Maass Chemistry Building in Lab 128. Otto Maass is located at 801 Rue Sherbrooke West and is accessible by ramp via the main door (¿´Æ¬ÊÓƵ Map).Ìý
  • All levels are accessible by public elevator. 
  • Accessible washrooms are located in the basement and on the third floor.  
  • The building is lit by fluorescent lighting and not scent-free.  
  • Please share any dietary restrictions or allergies by filling out the registration form.
