Campus Recruitment Policies
The 看片视频 Career Planning Service (CaPS) adheres to the Ethical Recruitment Guidelines of the Canadian Association of Career Educators and Employers , and thus expects the students and employers we serve to follow the guidelines which apply to them.
These guidelines are intended to provide a framework for the professional relationships between employers, students, third party recruiters and career educators. The guidelines are based on industry research, have been generally agreed upon by employers and educators, and are advocated by CACEE for national implementation.
The 看片视频 Career Planning Service (CaPS) expects students to comply with the CACEE Ethical Recruitment Guidelines listed below. Failure to do so may result in disabling access to CaPS services, including access to myFuture.

The Responsibilities of Students
Overall, it is the student's responsibility to:
- Comply with all relevant federal and provincial legislation.
- Provide accurate and appropriate information on CVs, application forms and in interviews.
RSVP Cancellation Policy
- It is the responsibility of the student to inform CaPS either by email (careers.caps [at] mcgill.ca) or phone (514-398-3304) if the student can no longer attend a workshop, information session or advising appointment the student has RSVPd to. Failure to comply with CaPS RVSP Cancellation Policy can result in the suspension of the student鈥檚 myFuture account and/or CaPS services. Please note that there are limited spaces for these appointments and by not cancelling your RSVP you have taken away a spot from another student.
Interviews
- Provide accurate and appropriate information on qualifications and interests in the form requested by the employer.
- Notify the career centre well in advance if interviews must be rescheduled or cancelled.
- Acknowledge invitations for site visits or second interviews promptly whether accepted or rejected.
- Notify employers well in advance if site visits or second interviews must be postponed or cancelled.
- Accept interview invitations (second and subsequent) only when seriously considering a position with the employer.
Job Offers
- Discuss offers with employers to verify terms and reach mutually acceptable responses.
- Notify employers of acceptance or rejection of an offer as soon as a decision is made.
- Respond to every offer whether it is to be accepted or rejected.
- Notify the career centre immediately upon confirmation of a job acceptance to withdraw from the recruitment process.
- Honour the acceptance of the offer as it is a contractual agreement with the employer.

General information for students regarding jobs listed on myFuture
The 看片视频 Career Planning Service (CaPS) strongly encourages students to thoroughly research companies to ensure that they make well-informed employment decisions.
CaPS prepares the information contained in the myFuture jobs listings database from information supplied by employers. Before posting positions, we follow up with any employer whose information seems incomplete or 鈥渟uspicious鈥, but we cannot guarantee that problems will not arise.听 Should you encounter any difficulties with the employers on myFuture, or find inaccuracies, please contact the CaPS office immediately. We will investigate any complaints about organizations sent to us by students and we will ban any employers whose practices seem fraudulent, unethical or illegal. CaPS reserves the right to decide which job advertisements are posted on myFuture.
Students should be aware that we will also investigate any complaints about students that we receive from organizations, the results of which could lead to the disabling of a student鈥檚 myFuture account and other disciplinary actions.
In conclusion, CaPS reserves the right to refuse access to CaPS' services and programs; this applies to both students and employers.

This information is used to identify you, contact you, target relevant opportunities to you, set up career advising appointments and interviews, invite you to events such as career fairs and workshops, determine your eligibility for certain internship programs, and for service improvement.听
Staff from Student Services and Faculty career and internship offices will have access to your information to support you with our services and programmes.听听
Employers and organizations use myFuture to recruit and connect with students and alumni for internships, job and volunteer opportunities. When applying to these opportunities through myFuture, certain information will be shared with the employer/organization, namely any documents you choose to submit, your name and your 看片视频 email address.听听
This software is provided by Orbis Communications and Symplicity, whose servers are located in Ontario and Quebec. Please note that the myFuture site contains links to other independently run websites outside our myfuture.mcgill.ca domains for which we have no control. The 看片视频 Career Planning Service is not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of other websites to which you choose to visit from the myFuture site. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of those other websites so you can understand how they collect, use and share your information.听
Resume Book Registration (Opt-in)听
This software gives career centres the ability to generate Resume Books/Referrals for employers, career fairs and other career events. To opt-in, please go to Resume Book module in the left-hand menu and register for a specific Resume Book. Please note that by registering, you are permitting your resume to be distributed to a specific set of employers without further notice. To have your resume removed, please contact听myfuture [at] mcgill.ca.听
Receive Email Campaigns听 (Opt-out)听
If you choose to opt-out, you will no longer receive targeted email communications from the Career and Engagement offices through this platform.听 However, you will still receive system emails that are generated because of your action or any activity you have chosen to become involved in, such as reminders for a workshop or an advising appointment that you have signed up for. To opt-out of email Campaigns, please go to your personal profile in this platform.听
Virtual Appointments听 (Use of Zoom)听
Please note that all virtual appointments booked through myFuture use the Zoom platform, licensed by 看片视频听听 If you do not wish to use Zoom, please choose an in-person appointment.听
To opt-out of myFuture听
Students who wish to opt-out of myFuture must complete an opposition form at Enrolment Services. Note that by opting out, you will not have access to campus or faculty-specific career and engagement events, appointments with career advisors nor have access to job and internship / practicum opportunities through 看片视频.听

The information contained in this system from data supplied by our employers.
