Congrats to the Prager-Khoutorsky Lab on their recent paper published in Frontiers in Cellular Neuroscience entitled "Anatomical Organization of the rat subfornical organ.鈥

The study examines a unique brain area that lacks a complete blood-brain barrier and therefore mediates bi-directional brain-to body communication. The work highlights distinct cellular populations present in this region and demonstrates for the first-time sex differences in neuronal responses to stimuli circulating in the blood.
