How to Book an Appointment

听

Current Cognitive Science Students

For students who have declared the Cognitive Science major or minor (or BA & Sc U0 students intending to declare cogsci)

• 20 minute in-person and zoom advising appointments
  • Available until Dec 20th, stops over winter break and resumes Jan 15, 2025.
  • In-person advising (20 min): Wednesday-Friday听
  • Zoom advising (20 min): Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

• Add/Drop Peak Period: advising Jan 6-14
  • Only 15 minute Zoom appointments are available during this peak period
  • Appointments only show up on the calendar 2 days ahead
  • If your questions are not related to winter course planning, then please wait and book a meeting after the add/drop period is over (Jan 15 or later)

*Appointments can only be booked 7 days in advance. If no appointments are available in the next 7 days it will appear to show no appointments for the entire month, but more will become available tomorrow. This changes to a 2 day booking window during peak advising periods.

For students from other degrees that are interested in declaring Cognitive Science (major or minor)

• Before booking an appointment please review the following:
  1. INTER Faculty Transfer (IFT) requirements for the BA & Sc degree. Most of your questions will be answered in the Science Undergraduate Handbook section 5, or should be directed to the IFT contact before seeing the Cognitive Science Program advisor.

• Appointments are done via Zoom (20 minutes)
• Availability will vary throughout the year
• To book an appointment*: choose the service

*Appointments can only be booked 7 days in advance. If no appointments are available in the next 7 days it will appear to show no appointments for the entire month, but more will become available tomorrow.

Newly Admitted Students

• Pre-registration Group advising sessions will be offered just before registration begins, usually in June.听 Check back for details in May.
• Individual advising will be available throughout the summer, see info above to book an appointment.
• Fall New Student Orientation; a group orientation session will be offered end of August each year.

• Before requesting an appointment, please consult the Undergraduate 看片视频 requirements to ensure that you are eligible for the BA & Sc degree program.
• All questions related to admission and applying to 看片视频 should be directed to 看片视频 and cannot be answered by the Cognitive Science advisor.
• If you'd like to make an appointment, please send an email to advisor.science [at] mcgill.ca . Include a list of questions you have about the Cognitive Science program. You'll be given a link to a Bookings page to schedule an appointment or you will receive a reply via email.
