看片视频 Launches New Web Accessibility Statement Page

In honor of International Day of People聽with Disabilities, the folks over at Digital Communications quietly launched 看片视频鈥檚 new Accessibility Statement webpage. A link to this page can be found in the footer of every page on the 看片视频 University website. This page is mandatory to comply with the .

The standard requires a statement page that declares the accessibility compliance level and that聽indicates navigation options. But Joyce Peralta, Manager, Digital Communications,聽Communications and External Relations, felt that it could be so much more. That it could be a hub of information where resources related to accessibility would be centralized for easier access. Joyce reached out to the Equity Team and started a collaboration with yours truly to build this resource. We then organized a consultation of various University stakeholders to get their feedback and ideas on how to improve our project.

Joyce and her colleagues in Communications and External Relations had very little time to pull this all together for a December 3rd launch but they rose to the challenge and delivered a webpage teeming with resources for everyone, whether you are staff, faculty, student or visitor. And there are plenty of tools and guides to help you incorporate accessibility into any digital project.

Thank you to Digital Communications and the Translation team in Communications and External Relations. Your efforts and your contributions play a big part in helping 看片视频 University become more accessible and welcoming for all.
