Quick Startup Guide to IE Infinity
Current Users
Login:
At the top right-hand corner, enter your Username and Password.
Once in the software, go to My Homepage> My Profile to change your password.
New Users
New users will register on the login page
1. Enter First Name, Last Name, Email ID, and Password and click the Join Now button.
2. After registering, a confirmation message will appear on the screen.
3. Click the verification link sent to the email provided.
4. After verifying the email, the page will be redirected to a wizard to help with the registration process. Click the start button.
5. In the next page, request access to a lab (PI) by clicking on Request Access. Then click next.
6. Request access to the FEMR facility by clicking request access. The admin will either approve or reject your request.
7. In the next page, request access to instruments. This can also be done later in the Instrument page. The admin will approve or reject your request.
The User
Once logged into the software as a user, a toolbar with tabs specific to the role will be provided.
User Functions
- This is the Quick Link tab to access other facilities and make requests. This is the Quick Link tab for feedback as well to other user functions, including the help guide portal.
- Make the current page the first page seen when logging in.
- View a homepage that has specified favorite instruments and sample submissions, reservations, submitted samples, issues, service requests, and user profile.
- Request instruments in a facility and make reservations.
- Submit sample forms/ service requests.
- Place orders for supplies
- Use the facility dropdown box to navigate through accessed facilities.
- My Items List: with quick links to Homepage icons, My Favorite Instruments, Favorite Requests, etc.
My Homepage
1. My Favorite Instruments: Displays Instruments set as favorite with a calendar to aid in making quick reservations.
2. My Favorite Requests: Displays all sample submission forms and service requests set a favorite by the user.
3. My Reservations: View instrument reservations made by the user.
4. My Requests: View sample submissions or service requests made by the user.
5. My Supplies: View submitted supply .order made by the user.
6. My Projects: Create and view all assigned projects.
7. Reports: Generate reports based on usage across various facilities, instruments, and sample submissions.
8. My Profile: Displays user profile; labs and facilities affiliations of the user.
a. Change personal settings
b. Set default session types for each facility
c. Set default/ most used facilities
d. Set default account codes
9. Dashboard: Displays personal reports and statistics.
10. Publications: For reviewing and accepting publications made by the user.
11. My Agenda: A calendar showing daily appointments and tasks.
Publications
Users can keep track of their publications using Idea Elan. The feature allows for users to sort through and view their previous works. Also, facility admin have the ability to request that a users publication is present under their facility to accreditate the core. Users have the option to select yes or no.
Instruments
The instruments tab displays all the instruments listed in the facility.
1. View the description and select options of an instruments by hovering over the image.
- To mark an instrument “Favorite,” click the star. Selecting this will display the instrument under “My Favorite Instruments” on the user home page.
- Report an issue to the admin by clicking “Report an Issue.” Fill in a brief description and a ticket will be created for the admin.
- Request access to the instrument by clicking “Request Access” next to permission status. Status will show as “Allowed” when the access request has been accepted.
- View any instrument messages by clicking “Message from the Instrument.
- Click “Full Description” to view more details.
2. Choose more instruments by checking or unchecking the instruments at the top of the page.
3. Make a reservation by clicking on the start time.
- Adjust the start time and end time of the reservation.
- Edit the session type under the session type drop down.
- Create a recurring appointment by checking recurrence and specifying the appointments.
4. Waitlist appointments can be created by selecting the timeslot that another user has reserved. Click the tab “Add to Waitlist” and there will be a notification if the time becomes available.
Mobile App
Download the mobile application or . Click on the hyperlink or search for IE Infinity. Once the app is downloaded, add 97883 as the 5-digit code. Then login.
