- ¿´Æ¬ÊÓƵ alumni must register for a ¿´Æ¬ÊÓƵ Libraries Borrowing Card in order to borrow items from the Libraries. Your ¿´Æ¬ÊÓƵ alumni usernameÌý(generallyÌýfirstname.lastname [at] mail.mcgill.ca)Ìýand password are required in order to register. If you do not have an alumni username and password,Ìý.
- Cost for alumni: free
- ¿´Æ¬ÊÓƵ Libraries Borrowing Cards are valid in all ¿´Æ¬ÊÓƵÌýlibraries, subject to the borrowing policies of individual collections.
- A ¿´Æ¬ÊÓƵ Libraries Borrowing Card may only be used by the person to whom it is issued.
- The ¿´Æ¬ÊÓƵ Libraries Borrowing Card is valid for 12 months; the expiration date is calculated from the date of registration.
- Fines or other sanctions are imposed for late returns and cards may be cancelled if misused.
Note: Registering for a ¿´Æ¬ÊÓƵ Libraries Borrowing Card does not provide remote access to the Library’s electronic resources outside of those available to all alumni, nor does it give you access to all library services and resources.
To register for a ¿´Æ¬ÊÓƵ Libraries Borrowing Card:
- Complete the application for theÌý.
- Visit any Information Desk atÌýany libraryÌý±ð³æ³¦±ð±è³ÙÌýthe Rare Books & Special Collections Library or the ¿´Æ¬ÊÓƵ UniversityÌýArchives.
- Bring a photo ID & proof of address.
Once your application has been processed, you will be provided with a ¿´Æ¬ÊÓƵ Libraries Borrowing Card that you can use to borrow items.
To renew a ¿´Æ¬ÊÓƵ Libraries Borrowing Card:
The ¿´Æ¬ÊÓƵ Libraries Borrowing Card may be renewed by email, by phone, or in person atÌýany libraryÌýexceptÌýtheÌýRare Books & Special Collections Library or the ¿´Æ¬ÊÓƵ University Archives.
