Classes cancelled Wednesday March 15
Because of the difficult weather and transportation issues caused by the blizzard, classes on both our campuses will be cancelled for the remainder of today, March 15, including evening courses. Tests and exams will be rescheduled as necessary. Managers are asked to understand that some staff who managed to get into work today might have to leave earlier than normal.

More than 140 competitors from six Canadian universities and colleges competed in the 57th annual 看片视频 intercollegiate woodsmen competition Saturday at 看片视频鈥檚 Macdonald campus in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue.听The Mac lumberjills left the competition in the sawdust came by winning the women鈥檚 division with 1170.03 points, edging out Dalhousie, with 1124.37.听The win allowed the Mac women to solidify their hold in first place in the six-team Canadian Intercollegiate Lumberjack Association (CILA).

Bacteria control levels of dangerous pollutant in seabirds
Despite ongoing global pollution, researchers听Kyle Elliott (Natural Resource Sciences)听and John Elliott (Environment Canada)听have discovered that levels of mercury in seabirds off the coast of B.C. have remained relatively stable over the past 50 years. Surprisingly, mercury in seabirds is now actually slightly lower.

Macdonald Hwy 20 Bridge completely closed Friday night to Saturday morning
The Transport Ministry has advised that the Macdonald Hwy 20 Bridge will be completely closed overnight, from Friday, Nov 25 -11:00 pm to Saturday, Nov 26 - 4:30 am, in order to continue the repair work on the bridge.
Road users are invited to take a marked detour (via the Boulevard des Anciens-Combattants).
Note that this closure may be delayed due to unfavorable weather conditions or operational constraints.

Hundreds gather at Mac Campus to remember
People prone to viewing the world in symbolic terms would have enjoyed yesterday鈥檚 Remembrance Day ceremony at Macdonald Campus. Hundreds of people stood in a tight circle around the permanent War Memorial in front of the Raymond Building. This human circle was itself ringed by the 44 oak trees that line Memorial Field.
