Bicycles: There are two bicycles available for trainees. Please ask the permanent MDs if you are interested.
Hospital Cafeteria: Serves lunch and supper. Tickets forÌýcafeteria meals can be purchased from Lilybelle from 11am-1pm at a cost of $4.60 per ticket.

Transportation

A Maheux bus


Trainees can travel to La Sarre by car or bus.


Travel allowances are calculated on the basis of the resident's teaching unit or the student's home university. (See the table of allowances for the amount allocated).


Trainees must make their own travel arrangements.

NOTE: All students must attend a compulsory "Progress Test" at the end of each block. If you book your own tickets, please do not purchase them before confirming the exact date of your test.


By Bus

Autobus Maheux serves La Sarre and most other municipalities in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region. From Montreal, departures are made from the Gare d'autocar de Montréal, located at the Berri-UQAM metro station. Travel time is approximately 11 hours. The quickest way is by car.

Please consult the driving directions. These are given from Montreal as a reference. (Adjust departure point as required).
