Overview

Islamic Studies : This course bridges students' knowledge of the language acquired in the prerequisite courses and more complex texts. Students will read about the Persian culture and language and become familiar with the literature and linguistics of Persian language through short excerpts from authentic sources. The language of instruction is mainly Persian.

  • 3 hours

  • Prerequisite: ISLA 541D1/D2 or equivalent, Placement Test, or permission of instructor.

  • Students must register for both ISLA 542D1 and ISLA 542D2.

  • No credit will be given for this course unless both ISLA 542D1 and ISLA 542D2 are successfully completed in consecutive terms
