First-rate ensemble experience includes performing opportunities with the ¿´Æ¬ÊÓƵ Symphony Orchestra, Contemporary Music Ensemble, and the ¿´Æ¬ÊÓƵ Wind Orchestra. Smaller ensembles such as wind quintets, saxophone ensembles, and other chamber music groups complete a thorough ensemble program intended to prepareÌýPerformance ProgramÌýstudents for professional careers.Ìý
Faculty Program students enjoy the benefits of participation in large ensembles, study with the Woodwind Area faculty, and greater freedom in course selection intended to prepare them for careers in music in disciplines other than performance.
In addition to private lessons,Ìýstudio classes, and guestÌýartistÌýmaster classes, woodwindÌýstudents can enrollÌýin orchestral repertoire classes. These provideÌýthe invaluable experience and knowledge of the symphonic repertoire that allow ¿´Æ¬ÊÓƵ graduates to consistently win major awards and scholarships as well as important auditions for the best orchestras in Canada, the USA, and abroad.
